New Year.

It's a new year, so I'm going to add some new elements to my blog. I changed my logo before the new year got here. A few resolutions for me are to do more posts, dress the way I want and not care what anyone thinks, and to do something fun every day.I also have some new post ideas. Some of these are as follows:

*Color of the Week- I'll be posting a color such as yellow, and then picking clothes, shoes, and more items that are yellow.

*Classic Style- Post a picture of clothes that inspire me (something an actress wore, etc.) and try to put together the same type of outfit, only with my own spin on it.

*Find more places in Salem and take outfit pictures there.

*I'll also have other random posts, such as quotes, thrown in the mix too.

I decided to take some pictures today when we took a walk. It was pretty chilly out, but it could be a lot colder. I call this my rock 'n roll outfit. I got this jacket on black Friday at Target for eleven bucks. It's really comfortable...not really warm, but that's okay. I can always wear sweaters as well. Speaking of black Friday, I can't believe how out of hand some of those people got...pepper spraying just to save some money? Really?

I really like this picture that I took, because of the sun. I like in the fall and winter months how the sun still shines on everything even though it may be cold out. It's so pretty.

Yesterday was my birthday, and we went to my favorite sale. It's the one I've mentioned a few times before on here. It's funny because it's a senior center sale, but they have some really good stuff. We bought a few books and a scarf the first day, and went back yesterday and got two dresses and a book. Then we noticed that they had a $4 bag, but we though it was for books, so we went back at three o'clock and saw people that had clothes and such in their bags. We bought a bag and stuffed a bunch of belts, books, shirts, knick knacks, and even the shoes I am wearing in the above picture (along with the sweater and scarf). All for four little dollars! I also got another tattoo and Joey got another Xbox so we can play together. Definitely a great birthday!

It's so cold here now that you literally can't step out without a coat or something on. I was cold in these pictures. I want to wear my new dresses so I can be colorful while everyone else is dressed in black.

Halloween

Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I always like to dress up. I'm not one of those people who think that just because you get older, you can't dress up. It's one of the best parts of Halloween. We carved our pumpkins yesterday. (I like how they turned out). Joey's is the one with the knife in its head. We bought candy and then it rained really hard so we didn't see any kids...more candy for us! This year I dressed as a medieval lady. It was a pretty simple outfit but I like how it turned out.

Don't forget to check under your beds tonight...you never know what lurks there!

I know I haven't posted an outfit in FOREVER, so I decided to take some pictures the other day. I wore Joey's Halloween (awesome movie!) shirt since it is only a few days until Halloween (yay!). We already have our pumpkins ready to carve, and have been drinking a lot of apple cider.

On to my outfit, I thought these tights matched the colors on the shirt, and I liked the stripes on the sweater. It has been cold here lately, so you can't really wear just a skirt and t-shirt anymore. We're supposed to have our first frost tonight! Have a good week!

These outfits I found from Modcloth's look book are so fall-inspired. I love the colors in the first outfit, especially the orange dress. The red jacket in the second outfit stands out so well...perfect for autumn when most people are wearing darker colors. In the third outfit, I love the pattern on the dress and the color of those tights. I love the color of the dress in the fourth outfit. The last outfit is so cute...I love those wedges and that dress!

I decided to wear pants and a sweater today since it is windy. I wore this scarf too, just because of the colors and the flowers. It reminds me of Autumn. One of my favorite parts of Autumn is seeing all the leaves change colors and fall to the ground.

This is the first outfit post I've done in forever! I can't believe Summer is almost over. You can definitely feel a chill in the air here, but we are supposed to get back into the eighties. The colors in my outfit today remind me of fall. There are certain colors that remind me of each season.

I got this ring the other day. I like the snake. Actually, I saw a bunch that I liked, but I picked this one because it is the color of my birthstone. Joey said I was part of Slytherin now...ha ha. I like animal jewelry, especially rings. I also got these tights (along with a black pair). They're my first orange pair...perfect for carving pumpkins!

This post is my inspiration for Autumn shoes. Some of these shoes are more colorful and some are more basic, but they are all perfect for Autumn. I really like the pair with the red laces because they look like an old quilt, as Joey says.

All these items remind me of Autumn. I love the sweater, with all its different colors. I'd pair it with jeans and boots. I love the birds on this scarf, and I think it would be cute with a t-shirt and a long flowy skirt. This yellow sweater is cute because of the way it buttons, and I'd wear it with a sweater underneath and some leggings. Lastly, these little booties are the color of mustard but are so cute. I'd pair them with a blazer, a shirt, some shorts and tights. Bring on Autumn!

Also, today, Freddie Mercury would've been 65 years old. I wanted to mention this because I think he was a great singer and had talent. Google has a really neat tribute to him...check it out!

Yesterday, we saw people in a field carrying bowls full of berries and this guy told us there were lots of berries there so today, we went out to pick some blackberries. There are tons (and I mean TONS) of blackberries along the sides of the road not far from where we are. It's about a twelve minute walk. It was chilly earlier in the morning, but in the afternoon when we went out, I put on pants. I wanted to wear a simple outfit (I should have worn different shoes) to go berry picking. I thought this vest with flowers would go well since we were out in nature. We're actually going back next week to pick some more.

The field we went to was huge and lined with blackberry bushes all the way around. It was so peaceful there, even though there were cars. There's this pretty house across the road, but it's basically falling apart.

These pictures were taken on Tuesday. We decided to take my outfit pictures in front of this pretty mural. It's in an alley that looks like it belongs in Europe...so neat. I told Joey I wish I could levitate so that I could look as if I were walking on the little road in the mural. We also took a picture of a bug that's on the side of the building across from the one with the mural, and a picture of all different colors of gum that had been stuck to a brick wall.

We are supposed to have seventies again next week, and I can't wait. I can't handle hot weather, though I know it could be a lot worse. It seems like I've been wearing shorts every day, and I am sure a lot of other people have as well.

Lately, we've heard and seen a lot of The Ramones. That's where I got the name of this post. Anyway, I got this sweater the other day. I really like it because it's black and white and striped. Plus, it's really versatile. You can't go wrong there. It's still pretty hot so I can't really pants that often yet. Also, if you look at the first picture, you will notice my love in my sunglasses. :)

On another note, I can't believe August is almost over, and summer too. I'm looking forward to layering and putting together cute outfits for fall. It's fun to put the same items together for different seasons to see how many different outfits you can come up with.

Today we had such a change in the weather. I wore this top when we went to Borders thinking it would be hot, but it ended up being chilly. It's a huge difference, considering the past few weeks have been in the seventies and eighties. Stepping outside, you wouldn't know it is still summer.We even had hot chocolate.

I got this scarf the other day at an estate sale. I really like the colors on it...it is a good fall scarf. I look forward to wearing a lot more scarves and putting together outfits when it gets cooler out. I love this bag...the design on it is so pretty. I want to get a chain or something to put on it so I can use it as a shoulder bag.

It has been so hot here...not as hot as some of the other states, but in the upper eighties. It's almost to the point where I think it's too hot to take pictures. This is the weather where you need lots of sunscreen! I hate to say it, but I'm kind of looking forward to cooler weather. I'm ready to layer.

The other day, we went to the senior center to look for books. I wasn't expecting them to be having any sales, but they were and I got five more scarves (this is one of them). Today was a beautiful day. It was one of those days when I just couldn't figure out what to wear. I guess we all have days like that. I had a romper on at first but it just wasn't comfortable, and when it feels like eighty out, you want to wear something cool. So, I wore a t-shirt and cut-offs.

I'd like to add more color to my outfits...whether it's a bracelet, socks, or a scarf. Color is always nice and can spruce up any outfit!

I read today that Borders is closing the remaining number of stores left. I think that's sad. I will miss going there and getting books. I still have other bookstores, but Joey buys a magazine there that we can't get anywhere else. I hate that technology is overtaking books, newspapers, and magazines. Why does everything have to be DIGITAL? Would it really kill people to carry around a real book? Books are so important, and soon they won't even exist. Ok...that's enough about that.

Just a simple outfit today. It's hard to dress up when I like to wear jeans, a shirt and a cardigan. I think I should make more of an effort. Time to look for inspiration...

I thought I should do an outfit post since I haven't done one in a few days. Sometimes, I lose inspiration and don't want to post. I always look at Lucky magazine and others for outfit inspiration. On another note, it was hot today. We're supposed to have really nice weather over the next few days. I'll be getting my hair cut soon, and I can't wait! It's so thick.

I wore a pretty simple outfit, which is good when it's almost eighty out. These flats have skulls on them. I wore them to break them in, and so that I don't wear out my go-to black flats. It's so hard not to wear them because they go with everything. I love having items that are so versatile.

I have to say that the fourth of July is not one of my favorite holidays. I hate when people shoot off really loud fireworks. I think it is rude and inconsiderate...it also scares our dogs really bad. I'll be glad when the fifth gets here.

I once again chose something simple to wear. I've been wearing these shoes because the tops of my feet are tan but my toes aren't, due to the fact that I constantly wear flats. This was just a cool nice cool outfit for a warm day. I love this little brooch...the flowers on it are so pretty.

As you can see in the pictures above, it was very sunny today. We have had BEAUTIFUL weather these past few days and it's supposed to get even warmer next week. Even though it does sometimes get a bit too hot, I really like this weather. It is so nice!

For my outfit, I picked something simple. I really like this shirt, and I wanted to pair it with something girly, so I wore a comfortable skirt with little flowers on it. I want to come up with some cute outfits for all the sunshine we're supposed to have!

Yesterday was so hot. We've definitely had a better summer so far, compared to the spring we had. It's too hot for pants and so bright that you have to wear sunglasses. I love the collection of scarves I have...they are one of my favorite accessories. You can just grab one and go.

We took a walk a few days ago, and Joey picked a beautiful red rose, and one that was pink,orange and yellow. I put them in an old glass tea bottle and put water in it. It's nice to stop and smell the flowers (literally).

One of the biggest reasons I like The Avengers so much (aside from the pure greatness of the show in itself) is bescause I like seeing all the outfits Emma Peel wore. She was so fashionable, and even wore some controversial outfits. Her clothes were (mostly) bright and colorful, and she wore boots, flats, and kitten heels. While wearing a dress, she'd do a flip or kick someone. It's so fun to see her fashion evolve throughout each episode.

I kind of felt like a ballerina in this outfit today. I really liked it though because it was so comfortable, yet cute at the same time. I think the shirt and skirt went really well together. The skirt used to be a dress, but I didn't like the top so I cut it off and kept the bottom half to wear as a skirt. The lace is so pretty, as is the print on this shirt.

I'm trying to add more accessories to the outfits I wear. They can really add to an outfit, and I think this necklace went well with my outfit today. I like versatile jewelry because you can wear it with tons of things!

I took this last picture with the self-timer and I think it turned out pretty cool. I like how the trees and my skirt stand out but the rest of the picture is faded. We're supposed to have pretty good weather for the rest of the week...fingers crossed! Have a good weekend!

I found this shirt today at Goodwill. I really like these kinds of shirts...especially this one, because it's kind of like a book. There are people, trees, flowers and more. You can make up a story about them. Plus, the colors and the buttons are great! Goodwill had two others but they were too small. I love finding unique items...it's so much fun!

We are supposed to get into the 80's tomorrow, which is the hottest it's been all year long. I'll be taking pictures to post on Wednesday, so I know I'll be able to wear shorts. Maybe we'll go for a walk in the evening so I can get some good pictures of the sun. See you on Wednesday!

Today we went downtown (every time I say that, I think of Petula Clark). We got some free gift cards for the mall, which was pretty cool. I got three body sprays from VS which smell really good! The weather was so beautiful...warm and sunny, the way I like it.

A few hours after we left, there was a suspicious package found right around where we had just been, which was weird. It was probably nothing, but you never know with how crazy people are today.

Summer is almost here. Yippy! We're supposed to be in the eighties on the first day of summer, which isn't bad at all. Last year, it got so hot...I'm talking in the hundreds hot. I'd much rather have eighties than have it be in the triple-digits. I'm just excited to wear skirts, and sunglasses, and go to different events and such!

We took a walk today and I picked some flowers. I got yellow, white, orange and purple ones and I like to put them in a book and press them. I need to get a photo album to put them in.

Today, I decided to take a picture with our dog, Tegan. I can never get him to look at the camera because he always watches what's going on around him. He is so adorable! Anyway, I don't usually take a lot of detail shots of my outfits, so I figured I should today. I love this little bow...all I did was glue it to a clip and turned it into a cute little accessory. I also really like this pearl necklace... it's so feminine and cute! I wore a simple outfit, which is good when you have certain accessories with it. I saw these pictures on Modcloth and really liked them. I especially like the first outfit, with all the colors in the shirt, the socks, and even the color of the nail polish. These colors work really well with the muted tones of the shorts and shoes. The dresses are perfect for a summer day, just lying around, maybe reading a book. I also like how they tied the scarf around the straps on the tote...I do this as well, but since I like it so much, I'll do it more now.

These pictures were supposed to be posted yesterday, but I decided to finish a book I was reading instead. It's supposed to be really nice from Thursday to Sunday (one day in the eighties!) and I can't wait to see if it actually gets that warm.

This outfit is pretty simple, which is good once in a while. I like just throwing on some jeans and a shirt and maybe an accessory to add something special to the outfit.

Over the past few days, we have had quite a bit of rain. Though the rain doesn't really make for great outfit pictures, I try not to complain because I know it could be a lot worse. It's terrible how many people are being affected by the tornadoes and such. We saw an old lady on the news today who said she had lost everything she had except for one small item, and she had lived there for seventy-five years. She was crying and it's just a shame that all those people might not even get help. After seeing that, rain doesn't sound so bad.

For today's outfit, I wanted to wear my floral print sweater but also add a little toughness, so I paired it with my black boots and cardigan. I really love the buttons on this cardigan. We're supposed to have warmer weather next week, and I'm hoping Summer will be warmer as well. I'm ready to just throw on a skirt, some flats, and a t-shirt and go.

Recently, I started posting about movies and such, but I just didn't think that type of stuff belonged on this blog. I'm going to make a separate blog for that type of stuff (movies, books, movies, etc.) and actually try to keep up with it. I like posting about that stuff, just not on here. I'll post the name and such of the blog on Monday when I finish it, but I just want to say that if Vincent Price was living today, he'd be one-hundred years old. Happy birthday, Vincent!

Film Friday: Waxwork II: Lost in Time

This week, I am talking about Waxwork II: Lost in Time. We watched it the other night and enjoyed it. I had never seen it, and have never seen all of the first film, but we started that one last night. Basically, a boy and a girl must travel through time to gather evidence to prove that the girl did not kill her stepfather. This movie probably isn't liked by everyone. If you go into it thinking it's going to be a four-star film, you will hate it. The best thing about it is all the different monsters they encounter and just the funniness of the things they do and say. Bruce Campbell is in the film, along with Zach Galligan from Gremlins. This is another film to see if you like a few good laughs.

I actually got to wear a dress today without freezing...it's nice to finally be able to say that! We got into the seventies and it was beautiful. We had a little bit of a breeze and it was just right. I love days where the sun is shining and there are big fluffy clouds in the sky. Anyway, we did some yard work today since it was so nice. I ended up getting a thorn in my finger, which hurt very badly when Joey had to pick it out with a needle. Thankfully, it feels much better now!

Currently, I have been listening to Indica, a band from Finland. They are really good. I enjoy finding good music, and ironically enough, the majority that I do find are bands from Europe. I like to listen to people who actually have talent, and aren't mass-produced.

Today ended up being kind of warm. At first, it was cold but as the day went on, it warmed up. I wanted to wear just this sweater but it just wasn't warm enough. I got some new nail polish colors the other day...a light blue called and a dark blue. I like experimenting with new nail colors because if you don't like it, you can get rid of it so easily. I am so excited for the warm weather we're supposed to get this week. We're supposed to get into the seventies!

This adorable cat lives in the neighborhood. Every time we walk by, she always comes out and rolls around on the sidewalk. She is so sweet!

Film Friday: I Saw the Devil

The movie I picked for today is I Saw the Devil, a South Korean film directed by Kim Jee-woon. Choi Min-Sik plays Kyung-chul, an evil psychopath who goes around killing young women. It just so happens that one of the women he kills is a young woman named Juyeon, the pregnant fiancee of elite special agent Soo-hyun, played by Lee Byung-Hun. This turns out to be the biggest mistake of Kyung-chul's life. This movie is really good. When you watch it, you're on the edge of your seat, just waiting for Soo-hyun to get rid of this evil man. Everywhere Kyung-chul goes, Soo-hyun is there, taunting him, waiting to get his revenge. This movie is like a page-turner, only in movie form. If you like horror films, you need to see this one!

When we went out yesterday, it was a bit cold at first but as the day went on, it was so nice. It almost reached seventy degrees. I got this little blazer at the senior citizens sale. I thought it was so cute, and I love the color of it!

I love when petals are scattered all over the ground. I think it is so pretty. Flowers are one of my favorite things about spring, besides the warm weather. Now, if we can just have more warm weather and get rid of the rain that's supposed to last the rest of the week!

Film Friday: MacGruber

Today's movie that I've picked is MacGruber. When I first saw the preview for this movie, I thought it looked stupid. That was almost a year ago, and now, having seen it for the first time a few months ago, I have to say I was totally wrong. Joey and I have watched it a few more times since then and every time, I still laugh. Now I'm sure some people hate this film, but I really enjoyed it.

I don't like giving away the plot to a movie, so it's kind of hard to explain without giving too much away. I'll just say that in the movie, we meet MacGruber, played by Will Forte (who does a great job in this film) and he gathers a team(Vicki St. Elmo, played by Kristen Wiig and Dixon Piper, played by Ryan Phillippe) and sets out for revenge against Dieter Von Cunth, played by Val Kilmer. Before the team of Piper and St. Elmo, MacGruber tries to put together a team of old friends (played by various wrestlers) but this doesn't work out too well. This movie is based on the SNL sketch of the same name, which was a parody of MacGyver.

To me, MacGruber is hilarious. There are so many funny parts in this film. There was never a point where I wanted the movie to end. I could watch it multiple times a day. One of my favorite parts is the celery...it.is.so.funny. I recommend this movie for anyone who wants a good laugh!

Today was so warm...definitely the warmest this year. It is so nice not having to wear a jacket. I keep waiting for the lilacs to bloom because I love to just smell them...they are amazing! The outfit I wore today was perfect for this kind of weather. I love flowy shirts because you can move around freely in them.

Tomorrow, we are going to the rummage sale where I always get the scarves I collect. I am hoping they have more for me because they are so cheap! I don't mind looking at the clothes either!

WHO IS SALT?

Salt, a 2010 film, stars Angelina Jolie playing Evelyn Salt, accused of being a Russian sleeper agent. Throughout the film, she goes on the run to clear her name. This role was initially written for a male role and secured for Tom Cruise, but in the end, it was rewritten for Jolie. Since I'm not a big fan of Cruise, I'm glad they changed the role.

The movie opens with Salt imprisoned in North Korea where she is tortured on suspicion of being an American spy. I won't say much more than that in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, but I will say that there were a few surprises in this movie. I'd think one thing and then something totally different would happen. Evelyn Salt goes on a shooting rampage in this movie. When Joey started watching it, I didn't think I'd enjoy it, but I did. It was quite good!

Today, we went for a walk. I didn't want to wear a coat, but it was not warm enough to go without one. It's weird because you can hear the birds chirping and everything so they know it's spring, yet we don't really have weather that feels like spring. This weekend is supposed to be nice again and trust me, I am crossing my fingers.

Even though it's not really warm, the flowers and trees are still in full bloom. I love seeing all the different colors and flowers springing up all over the place. It's so inspiring...it makes me want to take tons of pictures of nature.

Next month, I am looking forward to the annual Senior Citizens sale. I know that may sound weird, but I've gotten a lot of scarves there and for really cheap. I love scarves and I love getting good deals, so it all works out in the end!

I haven't posted an outfit post in a while. I'm going to post three outfits a week now, instead of two. It was so nice the other day...nice enough to wear shorts and a t-shirt. We even got out in the yard and did some yard work. Today, though, was a different story. It rained and hailed so hard nearly all day long.

I like this outfit because it's mostly black and white, and I added some color with the socks. I really like the color of them, and they have little polka dots on them. I cannot wait until it gets warmer here!

Recently, I read Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier and it is one of my favorite books now. It is just a wonderful book and now I am reading Don't Look Now by her as well. It is a little collection of short stories.

This post was previously called Five Movie Fridays, but I've decided to change the name to Film Friday (with Joey's help) just because I'd rather talk about more than just movies (directors, posters, etc.). So, for today's post, I will be talking about Alfred Hitchcock since we've been watching a lot of his films lately.

Known as the Master of Suspense, Alfred Joseph Hitchcock was born on the thirteenth of August in 1899. When he was a teen, he worked at a cable company called Henley's, and there he got his first taste of creativity. He submitted short stories and became one of its prolific contributors. During this period, he started working in film production in London, designing title-cards for what would later become Paramount Pictures. It took him five years to become a director.

Hitchcock made over fifty movies in his career. He framed shots to maximize fear, anxiety, or empathy in the viewers. Frequently, he focused on fugitives on the run alongside blond women. He had many twists in his films, and it is very common to see Hitchcock in his own films. Alfred Hitchcock is definitely one of the best directors of all time. He made many great films and we will continue to watch and enjoy them.

The other day, we went to the library to see if we could find any books during their sale. It was the last day and they gave us a paper bag and we got to fill the bag and it was only three dollars. We got quite a few books for cheap. I looked them up on Amazon and most of them got really good reviews, besides Bridges of Madison County. So, overall, I did pretty good for never reading or really reading reviews on any of them beforehand.

These pictures were taken next to the library. It was kind of chilly and we had to wait outside for half an hour before the sale. It still doesn't really feel like spring is completely here yet. I just want some seventy-degree weather and plenty of flowers so I can put them in vases!

Five Movie Friday

1. The Shining - This is one of my favorite horror movies ever. It is so creepy, especially the part when the old lady gets out of the bathtub. Sometimes, I make sure she isn't in the tub. Jack Nicholson did a great job playing Jack Torrance. This is such a good movie!

2. The Human Centipede (First Sequence) - This movie was filmed in the Netherlands. I think some people may find it too gross, but I thought it was a really good film. Dieter Laser was excellent in the movie. Let me just say this: I wouldn't want to meet up with him.

3. Dead End - This is also a great movie. When a family goes on a trip to visit other family members during the holidays, everything goes wrong. It is a creepy movie and you can't help but feel sorry for the family.

4. Dead Snow - I really like foreign films, and this one is from Norway. A lot of people may be offended by the Nazi zombies, but if you're a fan of horror movies, this is a good one for you to see.

5. The Descent - What makes this movie so creepy is just the thought of being stuck in a dark cave, knowing that no one is going to rescue you. It almost took my breath away when one of the girls gets stuck in a small part of the cave. I'm glad I'm not a spelunker. The original ending of this movie is better than the one most Americans have probably seen. Why is it that Americans always have to have a happy ending in a movie?

Five Movie Friday

1. Frenzy- We just watched this movie the other night and I really enjoyed it. The Alfred Hitchcock films I've seen so far have been really good. At first, I thought the main guy in this movie was the killer, but it turned out to be his blond friend who was choking all the women. The woman in this picture makes a funny face after he kills her...her tongue sticks out to the side and her eyes bulge out.

2. The Trouble with Harry- This is my favorite movie of Hitchcock's so far. The colors and scenery are beautiful, and the acting was really good. It was cool to see Shirley MacLaine when she was so young. Everyone should see this movie!

3. Rope- This movie is really good as well. There's a lot of suspense when the men put the other man's body in the chest and then they invite people over for a party. You keep wondering when someone is going to get worried about Janet Walker's fiance not showing up at the party and question what has happened. Finally, Jimmy Stewart figures everything out and gives a great performance throughout the whole movie.

4. Psycho- This is obviously the most famous of all Hitchcock's films. It is a great movie, and the shower scene is one of the most famous scenes in movies. It makes you never want to take a shower again.

5. Rear Window- This movie also has Jimmy Stewart, and once again, he does a great job for sitting in a wheelchair almost the entire time. Grace Kelly is in this movie as well, and together, they spy on a neighbor whom they discover has murdered his wife. It is a good suspense film, and I can't wait to watch more of Alfred Hitchcock's films!

Today was so beautiful. It was in the sixties with no rain. Tomorrow's supposed to be even warmer and I am hoping it works out that way. It was so bright out that I had to wear sunglasses. My outfit was just a simple one, but I really like the pattern on this shirt. I also like how flowy the shirt is. These heels hurt at first, but I've worn them with socks a few times and for some odd reason, they feel bigger. We went to a garage sale and a rummage sale today and I got more scarves to add to my collection, and some pin-on bow ties. Of course, I love dressing up our dogs, so I put Tegan's "jailbird" shirt (as I call it) on him and carefully hooked the bow tie on it. I think it is beyond adorable! I love our dogs so much...they are such little sweethearts. Even when they are bad boys, it's hard not to give in because they are so cute.

On another note, this is my two-hundreth post! I never, ever thought I would stick with it this long. I have four other blogs and I never stuck with any of them. I know I don't have the best blog in the world by far, but I don't aim to. Sometimes, I get disappointed when I look at other people's posts and see how many comments they have and I feel like my blog will never be that way. I don't get many comments, but the ones I do get, I really appreciate them. I just want to post good posts and enjoy blogging, and that's just what I intend to do. I want to send the people who comment on my blog a very special thank you. I truly appreciate your comments!

Five Movie Friday

1. Amelie, or Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain- This movie is a great one. The colors are beautiful, the plot is perfect and Audrey Tautou is wonderful. Great scenery, great acting, and as always with Jean- Pierre Jeunet, beautiful music. See this if you haven't.

2. Napoleon Dynamite- For obvious reasons, this movie is also a great movie. One of my favorite parts is when Napoleon does his dance on stage. This movie is just funny without trying really hard to be so, and I like movies like that. Jon Heder did an excellent job playing Napoleon, and I could watch this a few times a week.

3. Fried Green Tomatoes- This movie is one of my favorites. I love the period in which it takes place. It is a sad story, but with some happy moments as well. In the book, Idgie loves Ruth but Fannie Flagg decided to leave that part out when the movie was made. It is a beautiful movie.

4. Steel Magnolias- I like the characters in this movie, and this is also another sad movie, but a good one. Sally Field's performance in the cemetery is so good...and so real.

5. Kamikaze Girls- This movie is pretty and different and a good one. It is an Asian film, and the two girls do a great job portraying their characters. I love unique movies like this one.

These pictures make me daydream of drawing little sketches in the notebook with these cute little pencils. I'd love to have a library this big, just to be able to pick a book at random and relax on a sofa. I love the cottage...it is so pretty. And, of course, who doesn't love beautiful flowers.

These past two days have really been beautiful. Well, the start of today was nice but now the clouds are dark and I think it might rain later. It's been in the sixties though, and I really enjoyed it while it lasted.

It was very sunny, so yes, I was squinting really bad.

This is the debut of my shoes I got at Goodwill for $3.49. They were so cheap. I love, love, love getting great deals like that. I could never pay what some people pay for shoes or clothes.

Rose Pogonias

A saturated meadow,
Sun-shaped and jewel-small,
A circle scarcely wider
Than the trees around were tall;

I love these pictures. I found them on a site that sales bicycles and I think they are perfect for Spring. They kind of remind me of Little Women. I could see the four March sisters setting out on a journey, maybe to go to a hidden area they discovered and read and sew.

As you can tell from this picture, it is still pretty windy and just a bit too cold to not wear a jacket. We are supposed to get into the sixties next week and I hope so. I'm tired of wearing jackets and scarves! My hair is a mess in this picture.

We've had so much rain these past few weeks. The other day, I took these photos and was amazed by how dark the sky was. It's the darkest I've ever seen.

Chunkers, our neighbor's cat, is so friendly and sweet. She always "waddles" across the street to have us pet her. She is so fat and cute!

This book is so good. I still have a lot to go before I finish it, but I really like it so far.

I am longing for warm weather. Just to be able to go on picnics, or lie on a blanket and watch the clouds drift by sounds so nice. I'm making a point this Spring to be outside more as soon as the weather gets warmer to just enjoy the weather, the birds, the sun, the flowers. I don't want to sit indoors while I could be outside, taking in all the beauty.

Today was pretty nice, aside from the wind. We're supposed to have temperatures in the upper fifties this week, but with rain. I think Spring is slowly arriving! Yay! On another note, this is the first debut of my new dress I got for less than a dollar at Goodwill. I really love this dress...it's so flowy, and it has flowers! What's not to love?

I am currently reading To Kill a Mockingbird for the first time ever. So far, I like it. Before that, I read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I have to say, that book is one of the best books I have read in my life. It is wonderful, and if you have the chance, read it. I think it'd be fun to have a book club. If anyone is interested and loves to read, let me know!

Today was so nice. It was almost sixty degrees out. I wore this and ended up getting too hot and wishing I had on something different. We took this picture near this old house that's falling apart. I hate to see old houses just crumble. I hope someone saves this one. Anyway, I like how this picture and this outfit turned out.

The Golden Girls is one of my all-time favorite shows...so great! We have this old clock in front of some movies.

So this is what I wore the other day. I found the shirt at Goodwill for really cheap. I love the print on it. I also found a really cute dress there (I didn't know it was a dress until I tried it on...I just thought it was a long shirt) that I think will be so cute for Spring. Speaking of Spring, I can't wait 'til it gets here! I hope we have warm weather. *fingers crossed*

Is anyone else as excited for Spring as I am?!
