Hazel Bishop

Hazel Bishop was a chemist. She also founded Hazel Bishop, Inc., a cosmetics company. Bishop was the inventor of the first long-lasting lipstick. Inspired by A.B. Cannon and hoping to own a business, she began mixing dyes, oils, and waxes. After she got the perfect mixture, she called it the "No-Smear Lipstick". In 1950, she acquired some capital and created her business. Her product became a success.
